Lee Fang and I this week at Commonwealth Club World Affairs
Right now I’m straddling both politics and psychology audiences so today I have two podcasts to share — I was a guest on Josh Szeps’ podcast, Uncomfortable Conversations, for a wide-ranging conversation on free speech, identity politics, challenging group narratives, what’s happening to our minds and relationships, and more. And then over on Dan Harris’ 10% Happier podcast, we chatted about naming emotions as a form of free speech, why spaces for dissent are the ultimate safe space, and more. Both interviews speak a similar analytical language; with the different emphases they’re more like varied dialects. The topic of tolerating conflict came up in both — and I see that skill as a core theme for navigating our current political and emotional landscape.
I hope you’ll give both a listen, and let me know what you think. If you’d like to join me virtually for an upcoming event with Heterodox Academy, you can register here — that’s May 29th at 1pm PT. It’s free and open to the public.
Here’s to chasing rabbit holes…to get to a place of trusting your own mind :-)
