Chris Martin is a dear friend and the author of several poetry books, as well as the recent May Tomorrow Be Awake: On Poetry, Autism, and our Neurodiverse Future. He is the Editor-at-Large for the Multiverse series of neurodivergent authors at Milkweed Editions and the cofounder of Unrestricted Interest. Chris’ work is a gift; he is one of the most grounded people I know, and he basically speaks in poetry (seriously, just listen for a few minutes). In this conversation we talk about how he straddles chronic illness and being a publishing executive and entrepreneur, parenting and family life, writing new books, and his hopes and aspirations for neurodivergent authors moving forward.
I learned the term neurodivergent 8 months ago at age 61. Same day it was suggested I read your book. Life-changing and mind-blowing. Thank you for being you and sharing you. 🙏🏼
Hey Janara, keep up there, you are doing your most wonderful best, even if it seems and maybe even it is just a little most of the days lately. Your book Neurodivergent Mind blew my mind. And the acknowledgment of the knowledge you shared, it heals, but it also opens too broad and novel eyes, plus it cannot be stopped, it was my domino puzzle.. now I ended up in neuroendocrinology and tales of wild women, aka I have ADHD.. thank you, hugs thru this mild depression and I hope you get your serotonin, dopamine and cortisol levels back in balance ❤️🌞
Sending love your way, Jenara.

Thank you so much for sharing, and thank you for being you!
Oh my goodness, it's Chris! I am so excited to listen <3 (also, thank you for your vulnerable shares, too).
Thank you for listening and reading! <3
